“The band never makes the decision to cancel a show easily and was looking forward to playing for fans in Jakarta and Taipei, but unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, it is not possible to continue with the scheduled shows”.
The 1975 is the main band at the We The Fest Jakarta music event on Sunday (23/07), besides Indonesian musicians such as Chocolate, Raisa, Tiara Andini.

In the We The Fest Jakarta festival, there are also international musicians who will show their acts for three days from 21 July to 23 July.
They include The Strokes, The Kid Laroi, and Daniel Caesar.
In a previous concert in Malaysia, the band caused controversy in society when vocalist Matty Healy attacked the country’s anti-LGBT laws.

When The 1975 performed at the Good Vibes Festival, Malaysia Healy addressed the crowd in a smut-laden rant before kissing his bass player, Ross MacDonald.
The band then ended their performance, claiming that officials ordered them off stage.
Homosexuality is illegal in Malaysia and carries up to 20 years in prison.
The band performed at the Good Vibes Festival in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur on Friday, (21/07).
On Saturday, festival organizers said the remainder of the festival’s schedule had been canceled following the controversy.
A statement said the decision was taken following an “immediate cancellation directive” from Malaysia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital, as part of its “steadfast stance against any party who refuses, flouts or violates Malaysian laws.”
