BONSERNEWS.com – The United States Coast Guard confirms that all five passengers onboard the Titan submarine have died.
They said debris in the North Atlantic indicated that the sub missing since Sunday (18/06), with five people on board, suffered a “catastrophic explosion”.
The ship, which has a limited supply of oxygen, is lost deep under the sea after setting out to explore the wreck of the Titanic.

The incident prompted a massive five-day search and rescue operation led by US, Canadian and French agencies.
On Thursday (22/06) evening, the US Coast Guard said it had found five ship parts about 487m from the bow of the Titanic wreck.
The five sections recovered were “consistent with loss of the pressure chamber”.

The US Coast Guard offered condolences to the victims’ families and said it could not confirm whether their bodies would ever be found.
The search is suspended for the next 24 hours, although a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) will remain at the site.
Ahead of the press conference, OceanGate – the company operating the tour – released a statement saying they believed all five passengers on board “have died”.
“Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their family during this tragic time,” the company said.
“We mourn the loss of life and the joy they brought to everyone they knew.”
On Thursday (22/06) morning local time, two remotely operated vehicles (ROV) in deep waters arrived at the search location.
