
BONSERNEWS.com – A train accident has shocked the public again in India on Friday night (2/6/2023).
The death toll from the accident has unmitigatedly reached 288 people while 900 others were injured.
As reported by Bonsernews.cpm, the accident that occurred in Odisha, India, was caused by a collision.
The collision occurred at around 7pm local time on Friday when the Howrah Superfast Express, operating from Bangalore to Howrah, West Bengal, collided with the Coromandel Express, operating from Kolkata to Chennai.

This deadly and horrific collision event became the most fatal and shameful tragedy in India. Prior to the Odisha incident, India was also rocked several times by train accidents that killed hundreds of lives.
Trains are the favorite mode of transportation in India considering that all of India is land.

20 August 1995 – Firozabad :
Purushottam Express train collided with Kalindi Express near Firozabad. This accident killed 305 people
November 26, 1998 -Khanna :
The Jammu Tawi-Sealdah Express derailed on the upper rail bridge at Khanna in Punjab. This accident killed 212 people
2 August 1999 – Katigar :
Two trains collided at Gaisal station near Katihar. This accident killed 285 people.
