BONSERNEWS.com – The Titanic tourist submarine disappeared while carrying five people to explore the wreck of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean. Debris has been found at a depth of 4,000 meters or 4 kilometers from sea level.
From the condition of the debris, it is believed that the 6.7 meter long submarine was destroyed after experiencing a powerful explosion in the deep sea.
It was this explosion that allegedly killed the five people on board the tourist submarine owned by OceanGate Expeditions, a marine expedition company based in Washington, United States (US). Thus as reported by Reuters, Friday (23/6/2023).

A robotic submarine deployed from a Canadian ship was reported to have found the wreckage of the submarine named Titan on Thursday (22/6) morning local time. The discovery of the wreckage brought an end to a arduous five-day search.
First Admiral John Mauger of the US Coast Guard said that the debris was found on the ocean floor which is about 488 meters from the wreck of the Titanic, which sank at a depth of 4 kilometers from sea level in a remote corner of the North Atlantic waters.
In the incident the Titan submarine was reported missing since it lost contact with the mother ship on the surface on Sunday (18/6) morning, about 1 hour 45 minutes after diving to the Titanic wreck site.

It is known that it only took two hours to dive to the site of the wreck of the Titanic and another two hours to return to the surface.
The US Coast Guard said five main pieces of debris from the Titan submarine were found in an area of other destroyed debris, including the cone section of the submarine’s tail and two sections of the hull.
There was no further mention of the whereabouts of human remains at the location where the debris was found. “The area of debris is consistent with the violent explosion of the vehicle,” Mauger said.
