BONSERNEWS.com – The world’s public is anxiously waiting for news of the Titan submarine belonging to the OceanGate company which has disappeared since Sunday, June 18, 2023. This submarine descended to the location of the Titanic wreckage off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, in the early hours of Sunday, June 18, 2023 and lost contact with her support boat, Polar Prince, after a dive of 1 hour and 45 minutes.

There were five people aboard the submarine — one pilot for OceanGate, the company in charge of the expedition, and four “mission specialists” (i.e. people who paid to join the trip).

Hamish Harding is a 58 year old British billionaire and chairman Action Aviationa company that supplies parts to other aviation brands.

As a pilot who has previously traveled in suborbital space, Hamish Harding is described as having an adventurous spirit. “He doesn’t stay put. If he doesn’t work hard, he explores hard,” said Hamish Harding’s friend Jannicke Mikkelson as reported by Parade.
On Sunday, the Instagram account Action Aviation shared a photo of Harding with a caption indicating he was “diveping” into the wreckage.
On his own Instagram page, Hamish Harding writes:
“I am proud to finally announce that I joined @oceangateexped for their RMS TITANIC Mission as a mission specialist on the sub going down to the Titanic…Due to the worst winter in Newfoundland in 40 years, this mission is likely to be the first and only manned mission to the Titanic in 2023. A weather window has just opened up and we are going to attempt a dive tomorrow.”
“I’m proud to finally announce that I’m joining @oceangateexped for their RMS TITANIC Mission as a mission specialist on the submarine that descended on the Titanic…Due to the arrival of Newfoundland’s worst winter in 40 years, this mission will likely be the first and only manned mission only to the Titanic in 2023. The weather seems fine and we will try to dive tomorrow.”

The next passengers were a father-and-son duo aged 48 and 19 who are British citizens of Pakistani descent. Shahzada Dawood is a member of the Prince’s Trust.
